Belt scales are used to blend products such as colored mineral fines for composite roof shingles, where one belt runs at a % of another belt. Some applications require the belt to provide a consistent flow of material at a desired rate. Using an I/O communication card with a PID 4-20 ma signal to a variable speed drive, a consistent flow rate can be achieved.
